Ill. Woman Last Seen Getting into Uber in January Is Found Dead, Wrapped in Sheets in Shopping Cart

The group of Rosa Chacon, 21, was deserted in a Chicago rear entryway, reports say

A lady who was most recently seen alive getting into a Uber two months prior has been found dead, various outlets report.

The Chicago Police Division affirmed the disclosure of a unidentified departed lady in the 2300 block of W. 24th Put on Wednesday.

Police tell Individuals the occurrence has been delegated a “demise examination.”

The casualty’s family distinguished her as Rosa Chacon, as indicated by WLS-television.

Family said Chacon, 21, was restricted, enveloped by sheets and stuffed into a shopping basket before her body was deserted in a Chicago rear entryway, the station reports.

They said they last saw her getting a rideshare outside their Chicago home on Jan. 18, however it was muddled where she was going.

“She said, ‘I’ll be back, mother. I got the Uber ride there and the Uber ride back.’ That is everything she said to me,” her mom said, per WLS.

Relatives say Chacon abandoned key assets, including her jacket and ID. “I miss my child,” her dad Jose Lucio added. “Typically, when our girl leaves, we hear from her.

She calls the following day, she calls an hour after she leaves, she’s in a house, she’s protected, she’s overall quite warm. In any case, we heard nothing.”

As indicated by CBS News, friends and family assembled for a vigil Saturday evening, marking what might have been Chacon’s 22nd birthday.

A GoFundMe sent off to assist with settling memorial service costs depicted Chacon as “feisty and loaded with life.”
