Estranged husband charged with killing NJ teacher Luz Hernandez

The alienated spouse of a Jersey City kindergarten educator who was beaten, choked and covered in a shallow grave has been accused of her homicide, specialists said Wednesday.

Examiners had at first charged Cesar Santana, 36, of Jersey City, with profaning/disguising human remaining parts after US Marshals captured him at a Miami inn fourteen days prior.

However, presently the Hudson Region Examiner’s Office says Santana killed Luz Hernandez, a 33-year-old mother of three whose body was found by specialists on Feb. 7 close to Focal Road and Third Road in Kearny.

On Wednesday, examiners accused Santana of first-degree murder, as well as preventing, neglecting to discard human remaining parts and messing with proof, as per a public statement.

Examiners figured out Santana and Lopez had been come by cops for a petty criminal offense on Focal Road in Kearny the day preceding Hernandez vanished. Police appropriated the unregistered vehicle, which later turned up more proof of the wrongdoing, investigators said.

Manslaughter examiners later found the shallow grave around Focal Road and Third Road where Hernandez was covered.
