A 9-year-old girl, Imani Pendo Abdallah-Sesay has lighted up the internet after her open letter to the first gentleman of the land- Nana Akufo Addo questioning why school basic schools in Ghana still remained shut found its way on social media.

Pendo wondered why there’s no lockdown in Ghana presently yet kids have been disallowed from going to school (except those in the JHS department) while in the United Kingdom there’s a lockdown but pupils are still attending school.

I would like to ask you to please open all crèche, nursery, kindergarten and primary schools.

I would like to understand why Ghana is not on lockdown and yet children are not going to school. However, U.K is on lockdown yet the children there are going to school.
