Omosh Is Back Borrowing, Says Kenyans Contributed Less Than Ksh 1 Million

Four months ago, former Tahidi High actor Peter Kamau Kinuthia aka Omosh received public sympathy after disclosing that he had run into financial struggles and was in rent arrears of KSh 100,000.

The outpouring of support from fans, celebrities and well-wishers was amazing as everyone reached out to bail him out of the abyss.

OMGVoice can now report that the windfall is over and Omosh is back to the struggling days everyone really hoped he had moved past.

In an interview on TV47, the thespian revealed that as soon as the wave of empathy flamed out, people turned their attention elsewhere.

“People pledged money that I have never received. I got less than a million which I used to settle my debts,” he lamented.

When his story was on everyone’s lips, the public complained that one of the reasons for his financial struggle is a perennial drinking problem which he can’t seem to untangle himself from.

He admitted and promised to work on it as one of the mechanisms in place to ensure that he never begs again.

“I attend fellowship on Wednesday and Thursday and this gives me the willpower to avoid drinking alcohol,” Omosh explained.

He may not have liquid cash at the moment, but it will be noted that among the donations he received from well-wishers was a piece of land on which SUNG Timber offered to build a house for him.

Speaking to Linnet Kathambi recently, she revealed that the three-bedroom house is at the painting stage and will soon be handed over.

Omosh explained further that being in the limelight comes with its own negatives that many do not know.

“When you are famous, the fans think you are making a lot of money while in real sense you are making just enough,” he said.

The public has, however, condemned the star’s admission and asked him to find another hustle if acting is no longer working for him.

According to them, he should be grateful that he owns a piece of land and a house for free therefore focus on the other remaining basics.
