What happened to Greg Allen? Tributes pour in as El Paso police chief dies at 71

On Tuesday, January 17, El Paso PD declared the demise of their police boss Greg Allen, who died subsequent to serving in the division for north of forty years.

The passing of Allen, 71, the primary African American police boss in El Paso, was grieved by the whole city, including the chairman.

While specialists are yet to reveal the reason for death, El Paso City hall leader Oscar Leeser said Allen was in the clinic recuperating from an (undisclosed) operation.

Allen was delegated the primary African American police boss in El Paso in Walk 2008, thirty years after he joined the El Paso Police Office, where he started watching Focal and the West Side in 1978.

Soon after the city declared the demise of El Paso police boss Greg Allen, the whole local area was crushed by the misfortune and grieved the passing of the official, who was profoundly regarded across the power. El Paso City hall leader Oscar Leeser, who depicted Allen as a courageous and committed official, said:

“We lost an extraordinary pioneer today. El Paso Head of Police Greg Allen was a mind boggling Head of Police, yet he was an unbelievable child, spouse, father, and companion. He gained the appreciation of each and every official in his power, and I was pleased to call him my companion. He will be incredibly missed, and the City of El Paso will be always obligated to him for his initiative.”

The city chairman sent his most profound feelings to Allen’s family, taking note of that the misfortune will be grieved by individuals nearest to him and the whole local area.

Allen, who started working for the division in 1978, purportedly stirred up the positions as a watch official, preparing trained professional, sergeant, and lieutenant before he was selected police boss in 2008. According to media reports, during his residency as boss, El Paso was named “The Most secure Enormous City” in the US for four sequential years. The city of El Paso reported the Main’s demise and said:

“The City of El Paso is disheartened to report the demise of long-lasting Police Boss Greg Allen. Boss Allen joined the City of El Paso in 1978 and was named Head of Police in Walk 2008. End of Watch January 17, 2023.”
